As some of you may know, I was presenting at Be:Fit on Sunday with Hannah from Twice the Health (separate post to follow)
We were called up last minute to fill in a cooking demo spot in the Main Oatly Kitchen. PRESSUURRREEEEE. We couldn’t turn down the opportunity though so with only ten minutes notice before we were on, we raised the kitchen supplies for anything we could get our hands on to try and make SOMETHING. These people were expecting a professional healthy cooking demo and they had us… We had to think of something to make that they might be interested in and that we could pull off without bringing any stuff ourselves…
We decided on easy peasy raw protein desserts. I made Protein Avocado Chocolate Mousse and Hannah made their Coconut Flour Protein Cookie Dough.
On the day I couldn’t try the cookie dough as it had whey protein in, so I just couldn’t wait to get home and try and made it myself.
- 50g coconut flour
- 30g vegan vanilla protein powder (I used STRIPPD)
- 1tbsp peanut butter
- 1-2 tbsp maple syrup
- A few drops vanilla essence
- Approx 100ml soya milk (more or less depending on texture)
- Dark chocolate chips/chunks
Pop it all in a bowl and mix. Add the soya milk slowly so you can get the right cookie dough texture.
The idea is that it is like raw cookie dough before you stick it in the oven to bake cookies….only this is never making it to the oven…just eaten straight from the bowl!
